As a
Singer:
Stan Shuman has made
numerous T.V. appearances such as P.T.L. (1976-1978, 1988), 700 Club, Dove
Broadcasting Network Niteline Program, Huff-Cook Show, Rise 'n Shine
Program. Syndicated radio shows "GOSPEL GREATS" with Paul Heil; "GOSPEL
MUSIC IS THE THING" with Sid Hughes. Stan has made special guest
appearances in Branson, MO at Jim Stafford's Theater, Ozark Jubilee
Theater, Fall Creek Resort Show, Ozark Mountain Resort, and with the
Barbara Fairchild Show. As well as performing his own breakfast show in
Branson, MO, he's also performed at the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman
Auditorium, Nashville TN. His travels have taken him as a performer to
Canada four times as well as 48 of the 50 states and he has appeared at
the National Quartet Convention, (1974-1991) and Stan has sung at State
Fairs across the country.
As a Songwriter:
Stan Shuman began
songwriting in 1979 and to date has written over 100 songs, including
those which have been recorded by major groups such as Gold City, The Kingsmen,
The Anchormen, The Carolina Boys, The Canaanland Boys, The Swanee River
Boys, Danny Funderburk,
The Trio which consists of
Anthony Burger, Ivan Parker, & Kirk Talley, and
Danny Funderburk & Mercy's Way. He has
also co-written songs with song writers such as Greg Day, writer of the
No. 1 Gospel Song of the Year "Midnight Cry", and Carroll McGruder and
Mark Lanier.
